Giles Pocklington decided that it was high time that local producers had a different outlet for their delicious products, so he set up a deli on the move – called Cheshire Cat. Giles stocks up on the best of local and regional produce and then sells them at markets across Cheshire. Giles has his cheese made especially for him at Reaseheath College in Nantwich, organic free-range eggs from the Harrisons at Abbey Leys Farm, butter from Westry Roberts and Charlie's herd in Weaverham, totally traceable home-grown beef from the Webb’s at Cheadle Farm, apple juice from Eddisbury fruit farm and of course Clippy’s Apple preserves.

The Earl of Plymouth’s Oakly Park Estate at Bromfield extends to some eight thousand acres situated just north of Ludlow.   In 1950, Lord Plymouth started an in-hand farm on the Estate and built it up over the years to the four thousand, five hundred acre mixed farming enterprise of today, producing milk, beef, lamb, pork, and a variety of arable crops. The Estate and Farm together are able to provide the meat and milk, together with much of the game, that are sold, either cooked or uncooked, in the Food Centre and in the Conservatory Barn Café.
