In years gone by the farm was owned by the Chirk Castle Estate until sold privately. In 2000 the Simpson family bought the farm with their son, Richard, a fully qualified Fish Farmer, taking on the daily management. As a family the Simpson's take pride in supplying their customers with the highest quality Rainbow, Blue and Golden trout as well as a wide variety of smoked products. Whilst visiting Chirk; Clippy's Apples went for coffee and Bara birth at 'The West Arms' in Llanarmon - this pub is gorgeous and so were the views. We highly recommend this pub which is situated 11 miles west of Chirk on the B4500.
