Timperley Jubilee Orchard, Cheshire

Timperley Jubilee Community Orchard was planted in February 2002 on a neglected part of Beech Field allotments, by allotment holders. 45 trees of Cheshire varieties, heritage and modern varieties, were donated by Cheshire Landscape Trust. Mary Eastwood visits the local school with apple varieties for the children to taste and Apple Day is celebrated every year. She is also keen that the varieties growing here will be grown elsewhere in the county. Children from the local school have visited the orchard to see the blossom and learn about apples. Cheshire varieties are being propagated and made available to buy.
